Starting Immediately – No Visitors are allowed.
As you may have heard, the governor of Illinois has extended social distancing through the end of April. Therefore, Evenglow will continue its current visitor restrictions through April 30th. We are grateful for your patience as residents, families, staff and friends. And, we are grateful for the special moments of connection which continue to happen – even if it’s through a video call rather than in-person visit. Thankfully, we do not have residents with symptoms of COVID-19. Nor does Evenglow have any confirmed cases at this time. However, we’re still asking all staff to wear masks while at work. Because there are confirmed cases in Livingston County, we do not know who among staff may have been exposed. Wearing masks provides a measure of protection for our residents and other staff – a step we took proactively before the governor’s order yesterday for all healthcare workers to wear masks. The fabric masks are not Personal Protective Equipment. But they do help keep someone who may have been exposed from potentially spreading the virus (along with regular hand-washing and many other measures we’ve put in place).
